St Leonards-on-Sea is a seaside resort right next to Hastings in East Sussex. There is a busy town centre, three miles of shingle beach and a promenade with cycle track, offering a great spot for a relaxing family holiday by the sea or an action-packed weekend getaway. The town has a wonderful vintage feel with its magical mix of Regency buildings and gardens, as well as enjoying a great position for visiting the nearby attractions in Hastings and Battle. Hastings has a wonderful Old Town with houses dating back to 1450, a lively arts scene, lots of antique shops and a host of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Attractions include the Norman ruins of Hastings Castle high up on the cliffs, the smugglers’ caves, Hastings Aquarium, and various museums. Battle and Rye are both within easy reach, and Sissinghurst Castle Gardens are just 20 miles away. St Leonards-on-Sea promises a wonderful escape to the Sussex coast.
