A stunning market town nestled conveniently in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Midhurst is a delightful place brimming with history, landmarks, charming Tudor houses and almost 100 listed buildings. Henry VII had a heavy involvement with the town, he helped build the majestic Cowdray House and Gardens set on the banks of the River Rother, the ruins of which can still be seen today. Mildhurst is also home to the beautiful De Bohun Castle which needs to be seen. The castle comes just off of the town centre, a great place for shopping, eating and drinking with its great range of amenities. Within a short drive comes another fantastic market town in Petersfield, it also offers a good selection of shops and restaurants as well as a golf course. If you fancy a day by the beach, take the drive town to the coast where the delightful locations of Worthing and Brighton are accessible and most certainly worth visiting.
